    At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.   
    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.  

    This role will be within our Metering team. You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, we provide efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.   
    Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to make sure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

    What will you be doing?

    To ensure the smooth and efficient running of a region containing up to 40 metering technicians. Each day you will monitor your meter technicians work schedule, with the aim of ensuring that each customer appointment is attended within the allotted timescale. Spotting any customer appointments that are at risk of missing the allotted timescale. Duties & 


    Responsibilities: 
    • Monitoring your meter technicians and their customer appointments throughout the working day
     • Managing jeopardy for all metering appointments within your region
     • Ensure all meter technicians that are due to work are signed on at their allocated shift start time – if they are not, you are responsible for contacting them. If they do not answer or advise that they will not be in work, you need to report to your Jeopardy Team Leader
     • The role requires logical thinking to potentially problematic situations 
    • Forming good relationships with your metering technicians and peers
     • Ensure all the meter technician’s appointments have been returned each day from their Hand-Held Unit (HHU) 
    • Managing appointments that arrive on the day as a priority
     • If a meter technician has a failure of their HHU the Jeopardy Manager is responsible for capturing the outcomes of their days work and updating the scheduling system accordingly
     • Any unplanned meter technician absences will potentially generate additional customer appointments. The Jeopardy Manager is responsible for redistributing these appointments. If the Jeopardy Manager is unable to redistribute the appointments, they need to escalate to the Jeopardy Team Leader Role Profile 
    • Handling inbound / outbound phone calls
    • To perform any other task commensurate with the role.

    • Maths and English grade C or above
