Where will you be working?
We’re a fast-paced, growing business, and our central support team plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly. Based at our Stevenage Head Office, you’ll be at the heart of the organisation, supporting our teams and creating a great experience for visitors.
Within our friendly Facilities Management team, you’ll be the first face people see—providing a warm, professional welcome and helping ensure the office runs seamlessly day to day
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for managing front-of-house reception operations, including opening and closing telephone lines, handling incoming calls, and responding professionally to enquiries from employees, visitors, suppliers, contractors, and the public. As the first point of contact, you will create a welcoming and professional environment, ensuring all visitors are greeted, signed in following security procedures, and escorted throughout the building where required, facilitating introductions to relevant team members.
The role also involves maintaining and updating the organisation’s telephone directory to ensure all contact details remain accurate, as well as managing incoming and outgoing mail, including recorded and special deliveries and maintaining franking machine levels. You will oversee the receipt and distribution of all deliveries, parcels, and courier items, ensuring they are handled efficiently and promptly.
In addition, you will manage the booking of meeting rooms and workspaces via the GoBright system, ensuring resources are allocated effectively. You will also provide support to the Facilities Coordinator during periods of peak demand, annual leave, or absence, helping to ensure the smooth running of operations.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in a reception, admin, or customer-facing role
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Confident using Outlook and Teams
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
