What will you be doing?
As a Senior Site Agent, you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Taking ownership of day-to-day site operations, you'll lead site teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on programme, within budget, and in full compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
You’ll champion a strong health, safety and environmental culture across site, ensuring all works are carried out in line with company policies, legislation, RAMS and safe systems of work. You'll lead site inspections, audits and safety briefings, support investigations into incidents and near misses, and maintain clear and accurate site records, including diaries, labour returns, plant utilisation, material records and inspections.
Working closely with Project Managers, engineers and commercial teams, you'll drive programme delivery by planning and coordinating resources, monitoring progress against key milestones and implementing practical solutions to overcome buildability challenges and minimise delays. You'll also oversee quality assurance activities, ensuring inspections, test plans and quality processes are followed, while managing non-conformances and maintaining accurate project documentation, including as-built records.
A key part of the role will involve coordinating subcontractors and stakeholders, ensuring works are delivered in the correct sequence, to the agreed scope and in full compliance with project requirements. You'll build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and delivery teams, providing clear communication, site briefings and toolbox talks to ensure everyone remains aligned and informed.
You'll support the commercial management of projects by providing accurate site data, progress updates and risk information, helping to manage costs, variations, compensation events and programme changes. In addition, you'll review drawings, specifications, permits and temporary works requirements, ensuring all activities comply with governance processes, technical standards and project controls.
As a senior leader on site, you'll be responsible for managing and developing your team, providing clear direction, coaching and performance support to help individuals achieve their full potential. You'll promote a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment where wellbeing, safety and continuous improvement are at the forefront of everything you do, while also supporting recruitment, onboarding and the ongoing development of your colleagues.
