M Group Highways
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
- Extract data from electronic and paper returns and enter it into commercial systems.
- Process applications submitted to clients.
- Identify and escalate missing, unclear, or contradictory information.
- Maintain accurate project and programme data schedules.
- Liaise with operational staff to request and follow up on overdue returns.
- Follow governance and compliance requirements in line with M Group policies.
- Complete ad hoc administrative tasks assigned by your line manager.
- Work to agreed timescales, managing deadlines and raising workload concerns promptly.
- Complete mandatory training and stay updated with refresher courses.
- Understand project phases and adapt responsibilities as they progress.
- Learn and take on new tasks as required.
- Prioritise workload effectively and organise tasks to support commercial activities.
- Maintain strong attention to detail across data, documents, and system inputs.
- Gather, process, and analyse information to support reporting and documentation.
- Deliver high‑quality work to support internal stakeholders.
- Follow established procedures, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Continuously develop knowledge and skills through training and hands‑on learning.
What you’ll bring
- No prior industry experience required
- Good general education (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent)
- Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to manage tasks, learn new systems, and adapt to changing project phases
- Experience in infrastructure or construction environments (desirable)
- Familiarity with finance, purchasing, stock management, or commercial management systems (desirable)
- Confidence using digital or business systems
