  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

Want to come and be a part of it?

As our Technology Business Partner Lead, you’ll play a central role in shaping how technology supports and strengthens the group-division. You’ll act as the trusted link between Group IT and the division, helping leaders make confident decisions about technology priorities and ensuring that the work we deliver creates real value. You’ll bring clarity to complex situations, support transparent conversations, and help teams stay aligned as we move through a period of major change. This role is hands‑on, relationship‑driven, and grounded in our values of working together, doing the right thing, and delivering with integrity. If you want to help create a better, more consistent technology future for the business, you’ll thrive here.

    What will you be doing?

You’ll lead the process of shaping and prioritising the division’s technology needs, turning ideas into clear proposals that are honest about benefits, risks, costs, and impact. You’ll work closely with divisional leaders to make sure technology plans are realistic, aligned, and fully connected to the priorities of the wider Group. Through open conversations and clear planning, you’ll help everyone understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it will support long‑term success.

Relationships are at the heart of this role. You’ll create a space where stakeholders feel heard, informed, and supported. You’ll encourage open dialogue, making sure concerns are raised early and decisions are made with full transparency. Your ability to bring people together—across technology, operations, and leadership—will help build shared purpose and steady, confident progress.

You’ll guide both long‑term planning and shorter, quick‑win improvements, helping the division balance ambition with practical delivery. Throughout, you’ll champion better ways of working, promote modern tools and platforms, and highlight opportunities in areas such as data, automation, and AI that can unlock new value.

As a people leader, you’ll guide and support a team of subject‑matter experts, helping them grow their skills, build strong relationships in their divisions, and work in a way that reflects our culture of accountability, openness, and joint success.

    What you’ll bring:
    Key Skills & Experience

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technology clearly and connect it to genuine business outcomes.
    • A practical, delivery‑focused mindset that balances ambition with real‑world constraints.
    • Highly collaborative approach, with the ability to bring diverse teams together and build alignment.
    • Good working knowledge of Agile ways of working.
