Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, electricity distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, metering and home decarbonisation.
We design, construct and commission new build overhead powerlines and substations at high voltages up to and including 400kV. A lot of this work is to support the country’s net zero targets
We also upgrade existing overhead powerlines and substation infrastructure to ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity
What will you be doing?
We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to join our busy Substations team. As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. This role is vital in making sure we can help people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across our energy division.
This role will include travel to our energy offices with a weekly attendance in our Birmingham office every Tuesday, so a driving licence is essential.
- Coordinating day to day delivery activity across multiple substation workstreams to support operational efficiency
- Tracking actions, owners and deadlines, ensuring nothing is missed and commitments are followed through
- Preparing high quality slide decks, briefing packs, status updates and reporting materials for senior stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate and up to date project plans, risk logs and delivery trackers to provide clear visibility of progress
- Organising key meetings and workshops, including agendas, logistics, minutes and action capture
- Gathering updates from stakeholders and communicating priorities, risks, dependencies and required interventions
- Using Excel to analyse data, prepare meaningful reports and support evidence based decision making
- Supporting continuous improvement across templates, documentation and delivery processes
- Acting as the central coordination point to keep teams aligned and informed
- Supporting the Managing Director and leadership team by helping manage competing priorities calmly and effectively
- Ensuring documentation, workflows and communications are consistently structured, accurate and professionally presented
- Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve cross functional coordination
- Building strong relationships across operational and head office teams to enable seamless delivery
What you’ll bring
- Experience in a fast‑paced delivery, coordination or project support environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep pace with a busy leadership team and shifting priorities
- High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability
- A proactive, can‑do mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in a variety of tasks
- Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, gathering information and communicating clearly
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly
- Excellent written skills and the ability to produce polished, professional‑quality documents and presentations
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining calm and focus
- Curiosity, ambition and a desire to learn, grow and make an impact early in your career
