  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

As part of our team, you’ll be at the forefront of the transition to net zero, working with not just those around you, but across the Group- sharing learnings to deliver essential infrastructure services for life.

    What will you be doing?

We're searching for a Bid Coordinator to join our team!

We’re focused on doing great work, improving how we operate, and giving our people space to grow. You’ll play a key part in helping us secure new opportunities and support the services that keep essential infrastructure moving.  If you’re organised, proactive and enjoy bringing structure to busy processes, this could be the perfect next step for you.

You’ll support the full bid and tender process from start to finish — keeping deadlines on track, coordinating information and making sure our submissions are accurate, professional and delivered on time. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week from our HQ in Newcastle.

Please note, we can consider other locations, either in Birmingham, Nottingham or South Wales - Caldicot.

    In this role, you will:

    • Coordinate the tender lifecycle from early stages through to final submission
    • Manage communications via tender portals and handle clarification queries
    • Maintain accurate Salesforce CRM data to support reporting
    • Support Bid Managers with high‑quality, compliant tender documents
    • Prepare bid, sales and pipeline updates for senior stakeholders
    • Organise review and governance meetings and track actions
    • Independently complete pre‑qualification questionnaires
    • Maintain and improve our bid library, templates and AI tools

    What you’ll bring

    • Experience in bid coordination, bid writing or tender management
    • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
    • Clear written and verbal communication
    • Confidence working with senior stakeholders
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong presentation and document‑preparation skills

    Desirable but not deal breakers

    • Knowledge of utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors
    • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign or similar design software
    • Understanding of bid governance and compliance processes

    What’s in it for you?

    • 25 days plus bank holiday
    • Matched or contributory pension scheme
    • Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
    • Employee assistance programme
    • My Rewards portal, access to 1000’s of retail discounts
    • Life assurance
    • Cycle to work, salary finance and give as you earn schemes
    • Enhanced maternity, paternity leave and adoption leave
    • Reward and recognition scheme
