Please note: This role can be based anywhere within the UK; however, regular travel to either our Warwick or Stevenage office will be required.
What will you be doing?
This role is responsible for managing complex and escalating employee relations cases end-to-end, providing clear, practical guidance to managers and leaders to ensure timely, fair and consistent outcomes.
You will handle a range of ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance matters, up to and including ACAS conciliation where required. The role involves coaching managers to address issues proactively, supporting with preparation of case documentation, and maintaining accurate records and tracking through the case management system.
You will work closely with senior ER colleagues on high-risk or complex cases, support training and capability-building across the business, and contribute to policy development. The role also includes involvement in ER projects such as TUPE, union matters or redundancy programmes, alongside supporting the development of ER Advisors and, where applicable, managing settlement agreements.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous People Business Partner/ER Casework experience (e.g., PBP or experienced ER Advisor).
- Practical, steady, and confident communication.
- Organised and proactive in progressing cases.
- Commercially aligned and can advise on business outcomes (i.e. Settlements) where necessary.
- Engaged and enthused about developing more complex ER skills. (Unions, TUPE, Redundancy, NAECI, higher risk case work.)
