Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs. Offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?
We’re looking for someone who can take pride in ensuring equipment is in top shape when returned from site. You'll play a vital role in identifying damage and liaising with the STE Office team. To ensure all items are carefully booked into the warehouse, all while working within strict deadlines.
In this role, you'll also be responsible for conducting and certifying scheduled on-site equipment inspections. Following LOLER and PUWER regulations, you'll collaborate with the STE Office team. With the flexibility to travel across the UK—often at short notice—and stay away from home as required.
Safety is always a priority, and you'll actively engage in initiatives like Time Out For Safety, daily risk assessments, housekeeping audits, and more. Your commitment to improvement will extend to participation in safety leadership teams, accountability meetings, and the Permit to Work system.
Additionally, you'll handle loading and unloading vehicles, transporting equipment to and from construction sites—including articulated lorries—with the use of Fork Lift Trucks and Telehandlers.
